SISSY'S MISSION

As the founder and owner of Sissy Wood Realtors, Sissy says her motto is to serve God first then to be available to humbly serve our clients and community. With more than thirty years of knowledge in the industry, she is experienced in all aspects of real estate whether new construction, existing property sales, mortgages or brokering.

REALTOR LICENSES & MEMBERSHIPS

Licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi, Sissy is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR), the NOMAR Commercial Investment Division (CID), the Louisiana Commercial Database (LACDB) and the Gulf Coast Association of Realtors (GCAR).

REALTOR EDUCATION

Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI)

Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers and brokers.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Sissy grew up in New Orleans where she graduated from Mercy Academy High School. She later attended Spring Hill College in Alabama, the University of New Orleans and Delgado Community College. Her passion for land, architecture and building a community in which to raise her family attracted her to the industry. She is the mother of three sons, the oldest of whom passed away in 2005. Her younger sons, Shawn (Louisiana) and Grant (Mississippi), work side by side with her in the family real estate business. In her spare time, Sissy enjoys sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Always seeking new adventure, her love of land isn't limited to this planet as she aspires one day to visit outer space.
