Shawn Kohnke

Shawn brings over 30 years of experience in real estate to his clients. Beyond buying and selling existing properties, he also has extensive experience in managing and budgeting for home renovations and new construction. His detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspects of construction and renovations offer his clients a unique and significant advantage when evaluating their potential real estate investments.

When serving his clients, Shawn says his number one goal is to treat all parties to a transaction honestly. He maintains that understanding both the needs of his clients and the current market are critical in negotiating the best deal for everyone involved.

Shawn was born into a family of realtors. So, it was a natural fit when he decided to follow the same path. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in real estate at Louisiana State University and has worked in the field ever since. In addition to being a member of the National Association of Realtors and the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors, he has been a certified notary public since 2001.

Shawn is married to Mignon, owner of Royal Business Solutions, an IT consulting, security and auditing firm. Together, they have two daughters, Bella and Emily. When he's not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
